Ok so we’ve all had some exams to crack on with but TTS Blog will be fully functioning again soon. Some big nights on the way. TTS Djs are moving in to take over the back room at Resurrection, MILK is moving to Birmingham and Sheppard has a night that will have people buzzing up his sleeve. More to be announced soon.

Fingers crossed it stays sunny…

In the mean time head here and check the new releases out for the sound of the summer!

BleepBleep was a sure fire way to a good weekend. By the time we rolled in to the house we were crashing at, along with two berliners we picked up along the way, the sun was rising. Always the sign of a good night. The Bleep residents, Jonny Costello and Ryan Winters delivered as always and Rebekah dropped some huge tunes. (Bunny has also switched allegiance from his former crush Hannah Holland now). Pictures are up on the Luka’s facebook. Check them out. Here are a few in the mean time:

I’ve only just found this guy. His work is really inspiring from a producers perspective and bar that his tunes as amazing to kick back to and enjoy as they take you on a trip in to his deep house tech style (I’m not usually into ‘deep’ anything in music so its a change). With all the stress associated with the end of the academic year, this guys music will get you through…enjoy

and his most recent release:

and finally, his remix of Animal Collectives ‘Peacebone’:

DARK HORSE TONIGHT!!

Its going to be a big weekend, and it is all kicking off at the Rainbow with Brumtown’s finest face melting techno night aka DARK HORSE. Hosted by Ryan Winters himself it promises to start the weekend with a BANG. TTS Djs Bunny and I shall be playing and the TTS crew will be there in large numbers.

After that we’ve got DOPBEATSNOTBOMBS on Saturday night. You should already have the penned in your diary Kids! Then to round off the Mayfest we have Eclectricity on Sunday at the Custard, which along with Mad Decent, is on of the BIGGEST parties al year.

Not to fear, among all this jittery excitment I’ve got pumpong through me I can still hold it together and point you in the direction of some fine music for you to stroke your chins too while waiting for a decent time to be seen out tonight ;)

Another producer from the North (I seem to be a big fan of the Nordic producers at the moment!), Claude Von stroke has been showing this dude love and dropping his tracks. Only has one track up on his myspace at the moment but has mixtape out in a month or so he has told me, so hold tight guys!!

And if you fancy something a bot more grimey to satisfy your trek through th estates to get in to Brum check this man out… He is a fucking hot tip for 2009 in general. Loving ‘No Need To Front 2009′. Sick producer, I’ll let his tunes do the hype….HERE

I can’t wait for the weekend to begin…

Today is thursday, the day i spend at college, not doing much other than farting around and listening to tunes. Thanks to this once weekly doss i have discovered the mother of all music sharing points, where you can listen and upload pretty much any form of magicly mastered mix from any kind of genre you can imagine.

I put it to you to go and discover someone new today that gets you wriggling in your seat, tapping your toes and hyped for the weekend. (Specifically for this weekend as TTS will be showing thier faces at dark horse and orlando BOOM!)

Go forth and discover something  new today.

See you around x

OK, while on my travels through myspace, one of those endless trawls through site after site till you can’t remember what time it is, I found a pure gem of Scandinavian house. Two producers, making tunes under the alias ‘Renaissance Man‘. These are constant rotation on my ipod right now.

They say ‘Being born white, male and scandinavian prepares you for a bleak future’: these guys are far from bleak and will be the ones crafting the way for any worthwhile house coming out of Europe in the next year or so. Brodinski has already sung their praises.

Favorite tunes are ‘Spraycan’ and their collaboration with Harvard Bass (another producer to add to your list of people to watch.) called ’81′ I’ll see if I can get some of their tunes to drop on here this week. Till then check them out for yourself here.

Atticus

Very informative.

As much as we all love pop and dance music, we all know that deep down inside we will end up maturing into respectable doctors, lawyers and pharmacists. Listening to these genres is not ‘hip’ among these respected jobs, so check out the real talent yeah!

Next weekend is going to be big. I personally cna’t wait. If it was possible I would just sleep until then, its giong to drain all my energy. I’m going to post a few tracks over the next few days to help us all get through the week till Dark Horse:
